Support for disabled people in their leisure activities

ASPr-SVG | Polio.ch offers vacations, activity weeks, training, meeting points, sessions, and more for people with disabilities. Would you like to participate in leisure activities with other volunteers and help people with disabilities? Volunteering develops your skills and abilities and opens up new perspectives for your own life. It allows you to have a positive impact on society. Don't hesitate to contact us. Time spent by volunteers: Depending on the project. Between 1 day and 2 weeks, throughout the year. Possibility of multiple assignments each year. Location: Depending on the project. Throughout Switzerland. Bellwald (VS), Delémont (JU), Eichberg (SG), Interlaken (BE), Leukerbad (VS), Magliaso (TI), Sumiswald (BE), Walchwil (ZG), Wildhaus (SG), Wilen am Sarnersee (OW), Zug (ZG) Procedure: Inform us of your availability for your volunteering. The management will contact you. Discussion with the project leaders and introduction to the project. Information on possible assignments. Final registration as a volunteer for the project in question. On-site intervention. Discussion with other volunteers and on-site leaders. Closing remarks and feedback. Introduction to activities: Presentation of the ASPr-SVG offers and support from the leaders. You will be informed of all the details regarding your intervention, you will discuss them with the leaders, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions. Supervision: The presentation will take place on-site, and the coordinators will accompany you throughout the event. The transportation coordinators and the healthcare staff will be with you to answer all your questions. You will interact and work together as a team. You will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the coordinators at any time. Duties: These include accompanying and caring for a participant throughout the duration of the event (from dawn to dusk for multi-day events). Here are some of them: going to the bathroom, showers, personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers, assistance with meals and daily activities. Requirements: Kindness towards people with disabilities. Prior knowledge is optional. Dedication, autonomy, sense of responsibility, adaptability, and good observation skills. Minimum age: 18 years old
